Application

Ethanol is produced by means of alcoholic fermentation. In this process, glucose is converted into ethanol with the help of yeast fungi. It is used as a fuel substitute or additive in gasoline engines for motor vehicles and in aircraft engines. It is also used in the chemical industry as a basis for solvent production or as a preservative and disinfectant. Due to its purity and environmentally friendly properties, it is very well suited as an alternative to fossil fuels, as carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide emissions are extremely low. In addition, no toxic exhaust gases are produced when the product is burned. Due to its low-cost production, bioethanol is also significantly cheaper than fossil fuels.
